
It's true! In order to encourage travelers to visit Thailand, Air Asia and Thailand's Tourism Authority have put together a promotion offering 100,000 free plane tickets to Bangkok.
"The airline said the free tickets would be good for travel to the Thai capital of Bangkok from Vietnam, Cambodia, Myammar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and China as well as for flights within Thailand.
Tickets can be obtained only through AirAsia's Web site from Wednesday through Friday and will be good for travel between Jan. 6 and March 31. Passengers will have to pay airport taxes and an administration fee."

Ever wonder what a 14 foot stingray (4.3 meters) looks like? Well, in Chachoengsao, Thailand, local fishers found one - not only that, it gave birth right before them! From National Geographic, "not only had the anglers reeled in a 14-foot-long (4.3-meter-long) ray, but that the creature had also just given birth to a dinner plate-size baby.
